MathWorks supports Kvaser’s CAN bus interfaces

It was announced in April that MathWorks’ Vehicle Network Toolbox now fully supports Kvaser Controller Area Network (CAN) hardware interfaces. This means that developers running either Mathworks’ MATLAB or Simulink software on a laptop, in addition to the Vehicle Network Toolbox, can now use one of Kvaser’s interfaces to connect directly to their CAN bus. Mathwork’s Vehicle Network Toolbox allows users to create test and analysis applications in MATLAB, using live data from CAN networks.

Warwick Control debuts ECU program download tool

As a result of a project with a major automotive supplier, UK-based Warwick Control – a Kvaser Qualified Reseller and Technical Associate – has released a convenient tool for downloading embedded programs to ECU’s without removing them from the vehicle. Known as CANFlash, the new software is compatible with any Kvaser interface (USB, PCMCIA or WLAN) and, as you would expect, is compliant with ISO 15765. Developments for most microcontrollers are available.

Kvaser gains GSA listing

Thanks to Kvaser’s US-based Qualified Reseller, Sewell Direct, Kvaser’s products can now be found on the General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule under Special Item Number (SIN) 132-8, which covers the purchase of new IT equipment. The GSA Schedule gives government agencies access to products from authorized vendors through its online procurement website, www.gsaadvantage.gov.
