Win98/2000/XP/ME/NT4

LAPcan I / LAPcan II license verification

1. Insert you LAPcan I/II into your PCMCIA slot and reboot your computer.

2. Open the Control Panel by clicking "Start", then "Settings" and "Control Panel". Double-click the CAN Hardware icon.

3. If everything is OK you should receive the "CAN Driver Configutation" with the contents above. Mark the "LAPcan1" and press "Hardware Info".

If you can see the licenses that your LAPcan I/II is equiped with and the fact that Windows is also able read the serial number and the firmware version is a "verification" that your LAPcan I/II is communicating properly with Windows, however, it won't guarantee that the CAN-hardware is working properly since more electronics is being used when CAN communication is transfered/received.

((If something went wrong don't hesitate to contact us (support@kvaser.se) with a problem report (as detailed as possible)).
