Some Error Codes From The LAPcan Driver

Q: I got a nasty error message from the CANalyzer, what does it mean?

A: Here's a list of some error messages that might not be self-explanatory:

Dialog boxes from the CANalyzer:

Error 3014 (dialog box from the CANalyzer.) This means the driver routine can't talk to the card. This might indicate some hardware problem, either with your LAPcan, or with your computer. Please contact our support.
Error 500 (dialog box from the CANalyzer.) This means the card isn't properly licensed for the software you are trying to run. If you are sure the card really is (or should be) licensed for the software in question, this error message might indicate a driver routine problem.

Messages in the CANalyzer's Write Window

Error 248 (usually occurring twice.) This is a known bug in the CANalyzer 2.1. The LAPcan driver reported the status of the currently connected DRVcan cables, but this version of the analyzer has not been taught how to deal with these reports. You can safely ignore these messages.
"No interrupts from CANcardX". This means that the LAPcan was expected to produce some kind of result but failed to do so in due time. This usually indicates some configuration or device driver problem.
