Support Note
		1. Install latest CANlib drivers (CANlib 3.7 or later).  This is strongly recommended.           Click here for detailed instructions how to install the latest drivers.       (Click here to find out what CANLIB version you have currently installed.) 2. Download the latest firmware for either Memorator/USBcan II/USBcan Rugged (release notes).            Click here for latest Memorator firmware to be used with "Memorator Tools" ("old version of Configurator").           Click here for latest USBcan II or USBcan Rugged firmware. Important information for KVASER CONFIGURATOR! Kvaser Configurator requires CANLIB 3.7 drivers in PC and firmware 2.5 for the KVASER Memorator. Download both here: CANLIB 3.7 here (Win2k / WinXP) Click here for Memorator firmware to be used with KVASER Configurator! 3. UNZIP the firmware package into a directory on your hard disk. 4. Make sure that ALL YOUR CAN-APPLICATIONS ARE SHUT DOWN.  That ALSO INCLUDES the "Memorator Setup Program". Case for MEMORATOR users Case: USBcan II or USBcan Rugged 5. Depending of what hardware you are using double click the corresponding icon: Memorator update (update.bat) USBcan II update_usbcan2 (update_usbcan2.bat) USBcan Rugged update_usbcan_rugged_c (update_usbcan_rugged_c.bat) update_usbcan_rugged_b (update_usbcan_rugged_b.bat) 6. For USBcan II users if will look like the snapshot below. For the Memorator it is same  (only different figures and name) and the keys to press are identical. Begin with clicking  any key as the prompt ask you to. 7. The next window looks like this. SIMPLY PRESS SPACE to start the update. 8. It will take a few seconds to update the firmware via the USB-connection.  When this is done it look like this.   9. If there are no errors press any key to close the command window.      If you can't update the firmware, verify that ALL YOUR APPLICATIONS     are closed (also the Memorator Setup Tool). 10. When the update has successfully finished eject the USBcan device from  the computer and connect it again (make it "power recycle") and verify that it  is working properly. USBcan Rugged / USBcan II customers are finished. 12 Kvaser Memorator customers The new setup program, Kvaser Configurator, that requires firmware 2.5 or later, can be downloaded here. The old setup program ("Memorator Tools"), that requires firmware 2.4, can be downloaded here. 13. If you are not happy with the performance of your KVASER MEMORATOR  after this upgrade, please consult support@kvaser.com and please also tell us the  size and brand of your memory chip AND the SERIAL NUMBER of the  KVASER Memorator.  Read this. PLEASE ALSO REMEMBER THAT IF YOU SHOULD USE YOU  MEMORATOR AS A USBcan II (i.e. NOT AS A STAND ALONE LOGGER)  YOU MUST EJECT THE MEMORY CARD.
