This is described in the manual ("WAVEcan Starter Kit.pdf")
but we repeat it here for convenience. Read the entire page before
changing the bitrate.
To change the bit rate or the hardware filters, use the "wintransfer"
tool and a valid parameter file. We supply
three sample parameter files on the CD:
|
CAN125.txt
|
Text file containing parameters for setting the device's bus
speed to 125 kbit/s (sampling point at 75%) accepting all messages. |
|
CAN250.txt
|
Text file containing parameters for setting the device's bus
speed to 250 kbit/s (sampling point at 75%) accepting all messages. |
|
CAN500.txt
|
Text file containing parameters for setting the device's bus
speed to 500 kbit/s (sampling point at 75%) accepting all messages. |
You change the CAN parameters on one WAVEcan at a time. Proceed as
follows:
1. Connect the WAVEcan
with a terminated CAN bus (e.g. the ribbon cable) to the LAPcan.
2. Start wintransfer.
3. Press
"Open" and choose a valid parameter file.
4. Set the Bitrate to
the WAVEcan's current bit rate.
5. Set the CANchannel
to the number of the LAPcan channel to which you have connected the
WAVEcan.
6. Set "File
type" to "parameter".
7. Press
"Download".
The changes will not take place until the unit is reset. This
can be done via the CAN bus by simply pressing the "Reset"
button in wintransfer.
